Run by carers for carers - a warm welcome to all carers aged over 18.
The Newport Carers Forum hold regular coffee mornings, meetings and activities across Newport as well as providing peer support and updating carer information in GP surgeries.

Parkinson's UK - Newport branch
Information and support for those with Parkinson's, their carers, family and friends.
Activities include outings, speakers and fund-raising events and a monthly meeting with information and a chat over a cup of tea.
Meetings are held at Stow Park Community Centre, Newport, NP20 4FX starting at 2.15pm (unless otherwise stated).
The group also meet for a Parkinson’s Cafe on the 2nd Friday of each month at the old Maindee Library building, 2pm – 4pm.

Parents for Change and The Meet
Support for the parents and carers of disabled young people between 17 and 25 years. The group meets on the first Tuesday of the month to discuss a wide range of issues such as health, education and daily living.
Parents for Change also run a social group, The Meet, for disabled young adults between 17 to 25 years old. The Meet promotes friendship, social interaction and independence.

Newport Autism Support Group
A support group for parents, carers and grandparents of children or young people who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Newport.
Meetings take place on the first Thursday of every month, 10am-12pm at Serennu Children's Centre with various speakers.

Disabled Supporters Association (DSA)
Supports disabled Newport County AFC supporters and their carers by providing match day wheelchairs, wheelchair covers, blankets and ear defenders (£5 deposit).
A limited number of accessible car parking places can be reserved and the DSA can discuss and support with any worries you may have about attending matches.

Chance Meetings Wales
A relaxed and friendly group of between 10 and 16 young adults with additional needs which offers a chance to make friends and socialise. Play pool, snooker or table tennis, try arts and crafts, jigsaws or board games.
We try to cater for everyone's needs, meeting every Thursday at the Iscoed Tafarn in Underwood from 6.30pm to 8.30pm with £2 payable at the start.
