For the health and welfare of members of the public and staff, we are restricting visitors to our building. 

Please note that the Mansion House is now closed to the public.  All death and still-birth registration interviews will be conducted over the telephone. Please contact 01633 235510 for help and advice.

  • If you have an appointment, please go to the waiting room on the first floor.  If you are unable to use the stairs or lift, please ring the bell on the ground floor reception. For the health and welfare reasons only people being interviewed should attend the Mansion House, please do not bring other family members.
  • If you do not have an appointment, please call us on (01633) 235510 or 235520 to make an appointment or discuss your registration query.

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 9am - 4pm

Tuesday: 9.30am - 4pm  

Certificates issued from archives are available up until 3.15pm Monday to Friday

From 1 December 2018 all certificates posted need to be signed for with additional postage costs.

This is a safeguard to ensure that certificates reach the intended recipient and to reduce the risk of them going astray.

This process also conforms to data protection guidance for the safe handling of sensitive data.
