The consultation process represented an opportunity for people to learn about the proposal, ask questions and make comments that were recorded and summarised in a consultation report which is published below.

Any negative responses made during this consultation period were not counted as objections to the proposal but as adverse comments.
Objections to a proposal can only be registered after the publication of a statutory notice which is the second stage in the proposal.

What happens next?
The Cabinet Member for Education and Skills will consider the views expressed and decide whether to proceed with the proposal.
If the decision is taken to proceed, a statutory proposal will be published.
The statutory proposal period will last for 28 days following the date of publication and enables people to express their views in the form of supporting or objecting to the proposals.
If no objections are received following the publication of the statutory proposal, the Cabinet Member will make the final decision as to whether to proceed.
If any objections are received and not subsequently withdrawn during this notice period, the council’s Cabinet will determine the final decision.
